McLean, Virginia – June 4, 2002: The eSolutions Consulting Group of Vistronix, Inc. participated in the National Association of State Directors for Career-Technical Education Consortium (NASDCTEc) annual conference held in Washington D.C., on April 27th through May 1st. NASDCTEc is the Washington D.C. - based professional society of the state and territory agency heads responsible for career technical education. The association has a growing membership of over 200 members who share the state directors' commitment to quality education at the secondary, post secondary and adult levels. Vistronix, Inc. became affiliated with the organization through its work with State Education Departments deploying the Vistronix built Education Accountability PortalSM solution developed to address the Perkins III Federally mandated data collection, reporting and grant management accountability requirements.

At this year's meeting, Vistronix along with Arkansas' Dr. Steve Franks, Director of the Arkansas Department of Workforce Education, and Mr. Jeff Lucas, Program Manager for Student and Assessment Services, from the Maryland State Department of Education, held a panel discussion focused on the Vistronix Education Accountability PortalSM which generated awareness in the education community about this efficient and cost-effective solution. Stephanie Santa, Director of Operations with Vistronix' eSolutions Consulting Group explains "Due to the comprehensive nature of the information data capture, reporting and analysis mandates, the Education Accountability PortalSM was designed on a flexible integration framework in order to leverage existing statewide information systems as well as accommodate direct user input. Our solution enables states to more effectively manage and use their Perkins funds." The portal enables states to comply with the legislation by implementing a performance management system that is fully capable of sustaining and reporting continuous improvement to the U.S. Department of Education (USDE). "The Vistronix solution is improving processes and accountability measures used by state administrators and teachers, which ultimately and most significantly, will improve school programs and better prepare students for their careers," according to Chris Winslow, Vice President, eSolutions Consulting Group.

Vistronix is pleased to be associated and to support NASDCTEc, its members and mission. For additional information about the Education Accountability PortalSM solution, please see our case studies at www.vistronix.com/accountability or contact Stephanie Santa at 703.770.4180 or ssanta@vistronix.com.
